Fall Car Care for Busy Women
Wash the inside of your cars windows
Winter is coming and that means you’ll probably have to really start adjusting the temperature in the car.
You may think about washing the outside of your windows because of all the junk and rain that gets splashed on it during normal driving. But you probably haven’t considered how much gunk has built up over the course of a year.
It happens and it could leave a film that you don’t notice until your windshield starts getting frosty. Then you see it and the gunk showing up.
Take a few and clean up the inside of the windows.
Check the tire tread depth
This is a good time to evaluate the safety of your tires.
Spend a few minutes inspecting the depth of the tread and determining if they are able to make it through the winter or if you need to plan for replacing them before the snow gets here.
Now is a good time to do it.
Check you battery
Is it 3 years old? Cold weather can do a number on your battery and cause it to loose charge over time. The older it is the more likely you’ll wake up to find a dead batter on the first really cold day.
So take it in and have the battery checked. Spending 5 minutes stopping by a local auto parts store and getting it checked out now could save you plenty of cold weather time waiting for a jump.
Check the hoses
Your heater and defroster are going to be pretty important for your safety very soon.
Not only are they important for comfort but also important for safety.
So you want to take a look at the hoses and make sure they aren’t cracked or bulging. Get any replaced that look less than their best to make sure that they function well all winter.
